I am Dr. Kali McAlister, I grew up in Carlsbad, New Mexico, shaped by a close-knit community, strong family values, and a deep appreciation for hard work and service. This community has helped plant the seeds for who I am today—both personally and professionally.
I attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (though some would argue I majored in intramural sports). My passion for the human body, movement, and performance led me to Dallas, Texas, where I continued my education at Parker University, earning both a Master’s degree in Neuroscience and my Doctorate of Chiropractic. During my time at Parker University, I specialized in sports performance and mobility training. I gained invaluable experience working with professional football and women’s basketball players—an opportunity I will never forget. 

After graduating, I had the privilege of practicing in Texas for five years, gaining invaluable experience and refining my approach to care. While that season was professionally rewarding, God placed the desire in our hearts to return to my hometown. We ultimately returned to New Mexico to be closer to family and to give back to the community that raised me—the place that believed in me long before I held any credentials.

Beyond my career, my greatest roles are the ones I hold at home. I am a mom, a fire wife, and above all, a child of God. My faith is the foundation of everything I do, guiding how I serve, lead, and care for others. I’ve been called to use my education, experience, and compassion to help people heal and grow, so they can live fully and continue doing what they love without unnecessary limitations. Carlsbad has given me so much, it’s now time for me, my family, and McAlister Chiropractic to give something back.
